Dr. Tabitha Becker
Dr. Tabitha Becker, Psy.D., received her doctorate in clinical psychology from George Fox University. She completed pre-doctoral clinical training through Oregon Health Sciences University/Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC), Neurodevelopmental Clinic and OHSU Richmond Family Care (primary care) Clinic. She completed her APA-accredited internship at UC Irvine Medical School/Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Providence Neurodevelopmental Center for Children. Dr. Becker specializes in cognitive, neurodevelomental, and neuropsychological assessment as well as pediatric medical psychology. She uses evidence-based and gold standard assessments to evaluate for intellectual disabilities, ADHD, Learning Disorders, cognitive impairment due to brain injury, epilepsy, and other medical conditions/treatments. Additionally, Dr. Becker assesses for behavioral/ social/ emotional and adaptive issues in children ages 5-25. Dr. Becker uses a biopsychosocial framework in providing behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal therapy for conditions such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiance and disorders associated with chronic medical conditions. Additionally, Dr. Becker’s experience in the primary care and children’s hospital environments allows her to provide efficient consultation to medical care providers to ensure coordination of patient care in medical and multidisciplinary settings. Dr. Becker received a grant to open a behavioral health clinic and developed a pediatric behavioral health outreach program at George Fox University as part of her doctoral dissertation in 2010 and served a three year term as President of the GFU Behavioral Health Clinic Board.
